I have been there in the springtime before, and it was a bit flooded... Does anyone know if it is flooded or not now, or how this information might be obtained.
I am hoping to stop by there this weekend...

Re: is Remington hot springs Seasonally flood???
Tue, March 18, 2008 - 3:02 PMThe river level is controlled by release of water from Lake Isabella. Check in with the dams and find out their schedule. Spring is often a time to flush sediment from the dam or adjust the level of the lake depending on the winter snow pack.

Re: is Remington hot springs Seasonally flood???
Tue, March 25, 2008 - 12:37 PMYou could find out by utilizing the cdec information.
cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/queryMonthly
Poke around on the site and I believe that you can get the daily flows or releases from the dam.

Re: is Remington hot springs Seasonally flood???
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 11:11 AMHello Dylan,
I ventured from San Francisco to Remington on Saturday March 29 and had a wonderful soak! There are 3 main pools and there were approximately 20-30 people who came and went. The Kern River is refreshingly cool and the water level is not too high.
Remington definitely belongs on my list of top soaks!
Be well,
Todd
