Mon, December 1, 2008 - 11:23 AMI haven't been there, but the map in the link shows it in the wrong place?
I have been to many hot springs throughout the state though -

Sun, December 7, 2008 - 7:38 PMNot sure. There are several places round yonder mentioned in the Gersh-Young book, but without some serious topo-digging I can't be sure. I've got a hot springs overlay for Map 'n Go, but the software won't display anything much north of Reno. Bug ##@#@#@#!!!!

Re: Midas h.p.'s
Wed, December 17, 2008 - 4:39 PMFound it. Its about 54 miles northeast out of Golconda off of US 789. It was sooo not worth the trip. There was supposed to be a small deck on the edge of the pool but its gone. So access for a soak was pretty dificult. I Scratched my leg up on the spikey marsh grass and just about fell in... And the water was luke warm at best so you don't even get a hot soak. The only creatures enjoying it seemed to be a family of ducks. Don't waste the gas if you're looking for a good hot spring. The country was beautiful though!! That made it almost worth it! -

Re: Midas h.p.'s
Fri, December 19, 2008 - 12:32 PMThanks for the info! There are a lot of mines a work at in the area.
Also to avoid is Kyle's hot spring, unless you want to smell of sulfur for a few days.
My favorite in the state are Spencers and Duckwater. (should I be making that public haha) -

Tue, July 28, 2009 - 5:32 PMI've been to Kyle's and yeah it was pretty stinky. I like Spencers but Montitor valley was way better. The tub was nice and clean due to it being drained and filled every time it is used. (sort of a voluntary rule there and a good one!)
